Enough is enough. Detroiters deserve better. Join #TeamCalloway on Friday, April 12, 2024, for a peaceful protest in response to numerous complaints and housing violations at various apartment complexes in Palmer Park. 

 

Who: District 2 Detroit City Council Angela Whitfield Calloway, #TeamCalloway, concerned citizens and housing advocates to take part in a peaceful protest in response to numerous complaints and housing violations at apartment complexes in Palmer Park, Detroit, MI. 

What: Detroit- Concerned citizens and housing advocates are planning to peacefully protest outside of GMS (17437 3rd Avenue, Detroit, MI, 48203), the property management company for Urban Communities in response to numerous complaints and violations. The peaceful protest aims to draw attention to issues including continued maintenance neglect and inadequate living conditions reported by their tenants, who are mainly comprised of senior citizens in multiple apartment complexes owned by Urban Communities, near Palmer Park.
