Brightmoor Framework Economic Development Focus Group

Meeting Purpose: The Economic Development Focus Group will share information about economic development feedback, research, and existing city programs. The team will share potential economic development strategies, and community members will be able to share feedback and input on these ideas. The meeting will include brief presentations and discussion/Q&A time.

Meeting Agenda:

1. Welcome + Introductions - 10 minutes

2. Economic Development Analysis + Feedback Review - 15 minutes

• Brief presentation recapping economic development analysis and community feedback to date, including summarizing feedback/input from the last community workshop held on 2/22

3. Economic Development Opportunities - 1 hour

• Each topic will include a brief presentation (~3-5 minutes) followed by time for discussion and Q&A (~8-10 min)
  • Business Incentives from Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC)
  • Zoning on Fenkell
  • Beautification on Fenkell
  • Potential Pilot Projects on Fenkell: Development opportunities and community-oriented pilot project
  • Other economic development ideas, questions, and feedback
