Most City of Detroit offices will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Normal Police, Fire and Water and Sewerage services will be provided.
City seeks nominations for Detroit Composer Laureate
- The historic two-year post will join the City’s First Official Historian and Poet Laureate to share publicly the city’s rich history, literary genius and musical excellence.
- All three positions are funded by the generosity of the Ford Foundation.
