Satellite Absentee Voting Information
Beginning on Wednesday October 17, 2018, the Department of Elections will have three satellite sites for those who are eligible to vote by Absentee Ballot. Those sites are as follows:

Rosa Parks
1310 Cass Avenue

Wayne County Community College
Northwest Campus
8200 W. Outer Drive

Wayne County Community College
Eastern Campus
5901 Conner

Voting Hours will be:
Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

You may also vote Absentee in person at The Detroit Department of Elections
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
and The City Clerk’s Office Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturdays will be scheduled based on demand.

As a registered voter, you may obtain an absentee voter ballot if you are:

Age 60 years of age or older
Unable to vote without assistance at the polls
Expecting to be out of town on Election Day
In jail awaiting arraignment or trial
Unable to attend the polls due to religious reasons
Appointed to work as an election inspector in a precinct outside of your precinct of residence

All Eligible Disabled Voters

Federal Public Law 98-435 requires that polling places be accessible to disabled voters.
If a polling location is not disabled accessible, this law allows the assignment of an alternate polling place. However, several polling places which were previously inaccessible are now accessible to disabled voters.

Detroit Department of Elections will conduct a Public Accuracy Test

The Detroit Department of Elections will conduct a Public Accuracy Test on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at 2978 W. Grand Blvd. The automatic tabulating equipment to be used for the compilation of ballots at the General Election on November 6, 2018 will be tested.

The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that the computer program used to record and count the votes cast at the election meet the requirement of law.
