RESIDENTIAL (SHORT TERM)
Program Mission:

To interrupt the incidence of continuing alcohol and other drug abuse and dependence through short term, intensive residential substance abuse treatment by providing a professionally directed program that includes planned individual and/or group therapeutic and rehabilitative counseling and didactics in an intense, organized, daily treatment regimen in a residential setting that includes an overnight stay.
Target Populations, Screening Requirements:
Alcohol and drug-addicted persons who would benefit from a one to 30 day stay in residential treatment, including persons who may need stabilization in a drug free state and/or assistance with mild withdrawal symptoms and persons with impaired
health.
MDCH/ODCP funding will be authorized only for clients determined to need Outpatient services by the City-designated Access Management System (AMS).
Admission priorities are:
• Pregnant injecting substance abusers
• Pregnant substance abusers
• Other injecting drug users
• A parent whose child has been removed by the state or is in danger of being removed.
• All others.
As the program reaches capacity, priority for admission will be given to Detroit residents.
Services offered:
• Treatment planning involving the patient client in setting goals
• Individual, family and group counseling sessions
• Drug testing
• Case management services, which include primary care, mental health services and social services referrals
