Insurance & Outreach

Overview:
The Medicaid Outreach and Advocacy Program enrolls low-income families into state insurance programs; MIChild, Healthy Kids, Plan First and Maternity Outpatient Medical Services (MOMS). MOMS provides a Guarantee of Payment Letter that is valid for 45 days, allowing immediate access to prenatal care during the 45-day Medicaid approval process. Outreach workers complete on-line insurance applications and are able to inform customers of application outcomes based on the information that is provided.

Who is Eligible:
Low income families, pregnant women of any age, infants, children and women between the ages of 19 and 44.
