The center operates a "Skills for Life" summer day camp for children 6-16 years old. The 6 week program includes :
Enhancing academic skills
Digital video production training
Vacation Bible school
At the "Y", children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and explore their unique talents and interests.
The YMCA offers programs in childcare, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, summer camp, education and recreation.
Clark Park in Southwest Detroit provides year round programming for more than 1,200 youth.
It operates the only regulation-sized outdoor ice hockey rink in Metro Detroit.
Free lunch is provided daily to more than 100 youth throughout the summer.
Programs are available for a range of ages and activity levels across the city. Activities range
from youth and senior computer labs to swimming and many things in between.
In partnership with the Detroit Police Department and community volunteers, Detroit PAL builds character
in young people through athletic, academic and leadership development programs.
This program serves youth ages 5 to 17. Program activities iclude:
Acting classes at the Mosiac Youth Theater
As well as boy scouts and girl scouts.

We are a school based program an operate 99% of the time in schools during the school year. On occasion we are asked to help with summer school at one
of our partner schools. We do this on a case by case basis. We do not operate any summer programming outside of those school partners
