Monday - Friday from 9 am - 4 pm beginning July 13, 2015 and ending on August 21, 2015.
At the "Y", children and teens learn values and positive behaviors and explore their unique talents and interests.
The YMCA offers programs in childcare, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, summer camp, education and recreation.
Simulations in five content areas

The young men are exposed to male mentors from diverse personal and professional backgrounds.
Camp Burt Shurly offers a residential summer camp experience to Detroit Public School students ages 8 to 12.
Participants will learn lessons in reading, writing, math and science; they will meet new friends, learn new skills
and spend their days away from home in a safe environment.
Clark Park in Southwest Detroit provides year round programming for more than 1,200 youth.
It operates the only regulation-sized outdoor ice hockey rink in Metro Detroit.
Free lunch is provided daily to more than 100 youth throughout the summer.
The Summer Day Camp takes place in the Delray Neighborhood House. It offers children the opportunity to be active and have
positive interactions with peers by becoming engaged in physical activity, exciting field trips and new experiences.

Students will play, read, write and create art projects. Campers must be in grades kindergarten through 5th.
Middle school students may participate as volunteers. Summer in the City strives to improve and expand community
service by bringing a diverse group of young people together to invest their energy in Detroit.
