The Housing and Revitalization Department works across several divisions:
The mission of the Housing Underwriting Division is to invest the City’s HOME, CDBG, and other housing resources to create new affordable single-family and multifamily housing mixed-use developments, as well as manage the City’s efforts to end homelessness.
- The mission of the Programmatic Underwriting Division is to invest federal entitlement funds into operating organizations that create results in Detroit neighborhoods and make capital improvements in City commercial and residential districts.
- The mission of the Public-Private Partnerships Division is to create the development and policy initiatives that create the housing-led, mixed-income and mixed-use developments that transform Detroit neighborhoods.
- The mission of the Administration and Finance Division is to lead process reform in the department and ensure compliance with federal, state, county, local, and grantor regulations.
- The mission of the Bridging Neighborhoods Program is to assist residents of Delray impacted by the construction of the Gordie Howe International Bridge with either home swaps or renovations.
