IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING THE CITY OF DETROIT NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM PLAN
The Planning and Development Department presented its Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Plan to the Detroit City Council Planning & Economic Development Standing Committee on Wednesday, November 5.
The Plan outlines the City’s strategy for spending the $47.1 million awarded to Detroit by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) intended to help curb the foreclosure crisis plaguing the city of Detroit.

Copies of the Plan are available for review at suite 2300 of the City of Detroit Planning and Development Department, 65 Cadillac Square, downtown Detroit.
The time line for the Neighborhood Stabilization Plan is as follows:
· Nov. 5 – 20: Public Comment Period
· Nov. 21: City Council approval
· Dec. 1: NSP Action Plan due to HUD

The City of Detroit invites community participation in implementing the Detroit NSP Plan as outlined in the following opportunities:
Use the following applications to apply for HOME Program and NSP funding. In addition to the application for the program of your choice, be sure to also download the NSP Map listing the nine targeted areas that are eligible for funding. If you are applying for HOME Program funding in areas other than NSP, you do not need to download the map.
