The City of Detroit, through its Planning & Development Department provides home repair services under the CDBG Home Repair Program. Utilizing grant funds provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), to assistant homeowners with their home repair needs, eliminate lead-based paint hazards, and address structural defects effecting health and safety of its residents. Additionally, the CDBG Home Repair Program supports the city's efforts to preserve existing housing inventory and stabilize neighborhoods.
City of Detroit residents interested in receiving home repair services are invited to complete the "Home Repair Program Entry Form," which will place your name and information on a waiting list. Names are drawn from this list to receive a CDBG Home Repair Application as targeted areas are identified and home repair funds are available.
The CDBG-Housing Rehabilitation Program Waiting List is now closed. No entries will be taken after 4:00 p.m., May 7, 2013.
