Welcome to the City of Detroit's Web page designed to inform you about the City’s activities related to American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 commonly referred to as the Federal Economic Stimulus or Stimulus program. This information will be updated regularly to insure accountability and transparency.
You will find a list of projects the City of Detroit has identified for funding by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The list includes submissions from City departments and other Detroit community groups including our cultural institutions. We believe each project will immediately improve the quality of life for Detroit residents and businesses.
It is our desire to make sure all Detroiters are beneficiaries of the economic stimulus dollars made available through the efforts of President Barack Obama and the United States Congress. Our intent is to ensure that this endeavor yields the positive results envisioned. We are committed to using the dollars wisely and ensuring the maximum benefits from this once-in a-lifetime opportunity.
In the interest of garnering the maximum level of support and participation in stimulus projects, this page will be updated to share information about stimulus funds received, project bid opportunities, requests for proposals and contract awards. You will also find information regarding the progress made for those projects selected for funding.
