Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program is intended to remedy past & current discrimination against disadvantaged business enterprises, ensure a "level playing field" and foster equal opportunity in DOT- assisted contract, improve the flexibility and efficiency of the DBE program, and reduce burdens on small businesses.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Policy Statement

Detroit Department Of Transportation (DDOT) recognizes its responsibilities to the communities in which it operates and to the society it serves and is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination. DDOT will never exclude any person from participation in, deny any person the benefit of, or otherwise discriminate against anyone in connection with the award and performance of any contract covered by 49 CFR Part 26 on the basis of race, color, sex, or national origin.
