Youth Development Institute:

YDI is an initiative of the Partnership for a Drug-Free Detroit. It is designed to provide youth an opportunity to directly impact substance-abuse prevention initiatives. The youth acquire the necessary skills and leadership development needed to educate their peers, plan and coordinate peer prevention activities and recommend strategies to reduce teen drug-abuse.

The program serves youth between the ages of 12 and 18. There are no costs for participating in the program, which is housed at the City of Detroit Department of Health & Wellness Promotion, Bureau of Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment & Recovery, 1151 Taylor Street Room 347B Detroit, MI 48202.
