Our mission is to provide sound nutrition information to empower those who live, work
or do business in the city of Detroit adopt healthy eating habits.

Nutrition Services is a core Health Education function of Public Health. Our division is committed to providing the knowledge and expertise to meet the nutritional demands within our community. Our programs:
- Provide nutritious meals for school-age children year round
- Assess nutritional status of school-age children and adults
- Provide nutrition information to educate, motivate and assist the community to develop and maintain positive health and nutrition behaviors
