• A Vision and Hearing Technician is beginning to
screen children at a Head Start agency
• The pharmacy is busy filling prescriptions for the
uninsured
• The Food Handlers’ Permit Class has just started
• A Public Health Nurse is providing parenting education
to a first-time mother in her home
• An Animal Control Officer is responding to a stray
dog report
• The Detroit Immunization Program in setting up a
senior shot clinic at a recreation center
• Members of the diabetes support group are discussing
healthier food choices
• Citizens and business people have arrived for a
public health preparedness training
