Bad Checks Process

The Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department, Revenue Collections Division is responsible for the Bad Checks Process.

The Bad Checks Process is described below:

  •     The Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department, Revenue Collections Division will notify the customer in writing of the dishonored check.
  •     Customer is responsible for paying the outstanding fees along with $35 return check fee applied (per check). Methods of payment are cash, certified check, cashier's check or money order only.
  •     Customer has 30 days to pay the total amount due before any further action will be taken.
