Detroit's Neighborhood Stabilization Program

As part of the 2008 Housing & Economic Recovery Act, the city of Detroit received $47 million to assist with stabilizing neighborhoods in areas hard hit by the economic and foreclosure crises. As part of Detroit's $47 million allocation, the Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department Environmental Affairs Department received $16 million to conduct demolition activity in Detroit neighborhoods identified as NSP target areas.
