The Senior Citizen Department Special Events Unit plans Community Awareness Forums, Educational Forums, Safety, Health Awareness Program and Social Functions. The social activities give seniors the opportunity to expand their community ties and remain active participants. The educational events provide seniors with information that enriches and empowers their lives. The community educational and health forums allow seniors to better prepare themselves for the challenges characteristic to aging. This unit is organized to provide seniors with the opportunity to expand their social relationships and remain active participants in the community.
