The Detroit Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for committing two sexual assaults and one attempted sexual assault on March 22, 2008. The suspect attacked three young female victims within 24 hours on the city’s northeast side. The suspect, while driving a black, four door, Jeep Cherokee (similar to the one above), would approach his victims and force them in the vehicle then drive them to a separate location where the assaults would occur.
The first victim, 17, was waiting at a bus stop at 12:30 a.m., at E. 6 Mile & Goulburn, when she was confronted by the suspect, who drove to the area of Cameron and E. State Fair and sexually assaulted her.
A 16-year-old was attacked by a suspect matching the same description at 4:30 p.m. as she was walking in the area of Cameron & E. State Fair. The victim was able to escape before the sexual assault occurred and flagged down a passing by motorist. One hour later, a 12-year-old girl was forced into a black Jeep Cherokee as she walked in the area of Caldwell and Luce. Following the assault, the suspect dropped her off in the 13000 block of Syracuse.
The wanted suspect is described as a B/M/18-20, 6’0”, 200-250lbs, brown eyes, large black afro, light skin tone, beard, and has a large build.
Detroit Police have increased patrols in the area and questioned nearby residents but have not identified the suspect or located the vehicle at this time.
