Suspect Arrested For Robbing Business Four Times

 Michael Alaf Getter

Only hours after Michael Alaf Getter (B/M/42) committed an unsuccessful armed robbery of a pharmacy located in the 15000 block of Gratiot on March 5, 2008, he was located and taken into custody. Officers identified Getter from the description provided by workers who were very familiar with him… he was responsible for 3 past robberies at the same location dating back to September 5, 2007.

Getter was arrested as he hid at relative’s home in the 14000 block of Seymour (Eastern District).  Witnesses say that Getter would enter the location and while approaching the cashier with his hand in his pocket, announce a hold up. No one was injured during any of his crimes and no weapon was ever actually seen.

On the date of his final robbery attempt on March 5th, a witness was able to retrieve a partial license plate number from the get-away vehicle which led to the subsequent arrest of Getter.

The Wayne County Prosecutor signed a warrant on the defendant for 2 counts of Armed Robbery, and 1 count of Assault with Intent to Rob.
