Dwayne Binyard

On March 29, 2008, suspect Dwayne Binyard (24) was arrested by the Detroit Police Department’s Violent Crimes Task Force for a double shooting that left one man dead earlier this month. On March 2, 2008 the two male victims ages 23 and 22 were having a conversation inside of a local eatery in the 10000 block of West McNichols when Binyard entered. Binyard believed that the two victims were making derogatory comments about him and exited the business only to return with a handgun and open fire on the two men. Both were struck multiple times. One of the men died from his injuries and the other was critically wounded. The suspect fled the scene but was subsequently located and arrested on March 29, 2008 and has been arraigned on 1st Degree Murder charges. He faces a preliminary exam on April 14, 2008.
