As Mayor, I understand that an individual takes pride in a city that is clean. The only way we will ever have a clean city is by everyone pulling together and pitching in to clean up our neighborhoods. Then we have to change our behavior in order to keep our city clean.
Volunteering for the Motor City Makeover is one way you can help to make Detroit beautiful. We have selected the month of May for the annual cleanup and beautification effort.
We are asking residents, businesses, community organizations and schools to join in the effort.
We will continue to work hard to get our city clean. Please get involved. Get your friends and families involved. Detroit, your city deserves it.
