Emergency Needs: Assistance can be provided for rent arrearages, foreclosures, relocation services, etc. (125%)
Transportation: Provides transportation to and from doctor's offices, social services agencies, etc. Service is available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (125%)
Camp Sponsorship: Sponsors youth between the ages of 8 to 16 years of age. (125%)
Emergency Food: Provide food to individuals and families on an emergency basis. (125%)
Energy Assistance: Provides assistance with gas and/or electric arrearages. (200%)
Energy Education: Three-hour seminar provides customers with energy saving tips. This service is a requirement for customer's receiving weatherization and energy assistance. (150%)
Budget Counseling: Two-hour seminar provides customers with information relative to preparing a household budget and tips on adhering to the prescribed budget. (Service is provided free.)
Commodity Distribution: Provides USDA surplus food products to income eligible households once a month at the four community service centers. Distribution is held the fourth Thursday of each month unless a holiday falls on that date. In this case, distribution is moved up to the third Thursday. (125% to 160% varies based on age)
Summer Lunch Program: Provide free lunches to area youth between the ages of 1 through 18. This services is provided at 7737 Kercheval only during the summer months. Lunches must be consumed on the premises. This program is sponsored by the USDA. There are no income guidelines associated with this program.
Tax Assistance: This service is provided in conjunction with the Accounting Aid Society. Service is provided at 18100 Meyers (lower level) and 7737 Kercheval (upper level). Customer's annual income cannot exceed 150% over the poverty guidelines.
