What materials will be accepted?Materials We Can Accept
Glass, Plastic, Paper, Styrofoam, Metal, Home Office Equipment and Electronics, Batteries, Automotive Fluids, Workshop Supplies, Pesticides, etc.
Materials We Cannot Accept- Items that can be placed in a refuse (Courville) container. Refuse is food, waste products, etc.
- Items that are considered bulk. Bulk items are household appliances, carpeting, old clothes, shoes, furniture, etc.

Detroiters Can Call (313) 923-2240 to schedule a time to bring household hazardous materials (HHW) to the facility, which is open year round Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This facility is open to
Detroit residents ONLY! There is no charge! In addition, residents can drop off recyclable items
at various locations throughout the year.
