What Services Does GSD Provide?
GSD provides services to two customers: 1. The Citizens of Detroit.
2. Other City Departments (internal customers).
Many
of GSD services and efficiencies to other City Departments are not
visible to the Citizens of Detroit, however, the services we provide to
our internal customers assist them in doing their jobs more efficiently
and with quicker response time to youIt is the goal of GSD to allow our
internal customers to focus 100% of their attention onservicing you,
the citizen – our ultimate customer!
GSD Services to the Citizens of Detroit: - Grounds maintenance and management of all parks
- Grounds maintenance and management of all vacant lots
- Maintenance
and management of all forestry activities including the removal,
replanting and trimming of trees in parks or between the streets and
sidewalks in neighborhoods
- Grounds maintenance of all islands, boulevards, and freeway berms
Common Services Managed Under GSD for City Departments: - Management and maintenance of all municipal facilities
- Management and maintenance of all city operated fleet vehicles
- Inventory control over all purchased supplies
- Management of all city owned property
