COOKING WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Taco Soup

2 lbs. of browned hamburger
1 onion
1 chopped green pepper (You may also use a red pepper)
1 package of taco seasoning
1 can of hot green chilies beans
2 large cans of stewed tomatoes (Use fresh tomatoes in the summer)
6 cups of water

Put the browned beef in a crock pot, then add remaining ingredients. To make the soup spicy just add cayenne pepper.

You can also top the soup with cheddar cheese, sour cream and/or chips.

This recipe can be doubled and made as spicy as you like.
