COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIVISION
The major objective of this division is to promote fire and life safety awareness through education and community outreach, as a result reducing fire deaths, injuries, and the loss of personal property.
The Division interacts with the Detroit community and provides fire and life safety education to the public on how to prevent and protect their lives and property from fire loss/damage. This Division heightens citizen’s awareness through such mediums as the Mobile Fire Safety House, workshops, community events, meetings, and coordinates apparatus and tours of firehouses.
