The Detroit Workforce Development Department, a Michigan Works! Agency (DWDD), in cooperation with the Detroit Workforce Development Board is issuing a Request for Quotations (RFQ) to solicit quotations for data management and reporting software that will assist in the quality improvement endeavors of the Department. One service provider will be contracted from September 1, 2008 until June 30, 2010. DWDD estimates that a minimum of 300 system users (both internal and external to the Department) will utilize the software, which will be customized to meet the data management and reporting needs of the Department. A Bidders’ Conference will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 in the Detroit Workforce Development Department’s Second Floor Conference Room at 707 W. Milwaukee. Reservations are requested. The Detroit Workforce Development Department (DWDD), a Michigan Works! Agency, announces a
Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Detroit Year-Round Youth (YRY) Program. The Detroit YRY Program is an employment and training program that helps Detroit youth overcome serious barriers to academic and employment success. The Program will be operated with funds from Title I of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Michigan’s Jobs, Education, and Training Program (JET) and other sources of funds that may become available for the period of October 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
Funds awarded under this competition can be used to implement a variety of approaches to increase the basic skills, occupational skills, employment, retention, and earnings for eligible Detroit youth, ages 14-21 years-old. A Bidders’ Conference will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in the Detroit Workforce Development Department’s First Floor Conference Room. Completed proposals are due on Friday, June 13, 2008, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The complete proposal is due on February 1, 2008 in a sealed envelope or box at the office of the Detroit Workforce Development Department's Operations Division, Second Floor, 707 W. Milwaukee Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48202, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Any proposal submitted before the previous deadline of January 25, 2008
may be revised and re-submitted as long as it is submitted by the new deadline
date.
