The Detroit Department of Transportation provides schedules and other service
information in the following formats:
Audio Cassettes (routes, general information, and a guide to
accessible services)
Audio cassettes provide a step-by-step explanation of DDOT's 54 routes. The
tapes describe what areas are serviced by each route, what lines transfer to and
from each route,a and give complete schedules and timetables. The tapes describe
what areas are serviced and by what route, what lines transfer to and from each
route, and give complete schedules and timetables. In short, these tapes tell
you everything you need to know, from start to finish, in order to use DDOT
buses.
Large-Print Schedules and Brochures
Large-print schedules and brochures are designed for citizens with limited
visual capacity. They are replications of our regular print schedules and
brochures, except they are approximately double sized. This allows for easy
reading and understanding of times, locations, and other information about each
of our routes. Large-print schedules and brochures are available in English,
Spanish and Arabic, upon request.
Braille
The third way that we have made it better for visually impaired riders to use
our service is braille formatted information. Schedules for each of our routes
are available in braille format, offering complete descriptions of the routes
and other information. The Braille format schedules are available upon
request.
