Telecommunications providers seeking access to the City of Detroit’s rights-of-way must first obtain and file a Metropolitan Extension Telecommunications Rights-of-Way (METRO Act) permit application along with a $500 application fee with the Detroit Cable Communications Commission. Permit applications will be approved or denied within 45 days from the filing date.
