The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) has heard from countless customers that accessibility to make payments, enter a payment arrangement, and request service is limited. The department has taken your feedback and developed several enhancements and all-new features. In an effort to significantly improve access for residential and nonresidential customers, DWSD is helping you skip the line in 2017.
Make a payment on your water and sewer bill with cash, check or credit at a kiosk near your home or work. Most of the 28 kiosk locations are available seven-days-a-week, and some are accessible 24 hours. No longer do you need to wait for a DWSD Customer Care Center to open. Find your nearby kiosk.
Need to make a transaction at a DWSD Customer Care Center? Place yourself in line before you go from your mobile device or computer, and receive text messages or phone calls for an update on your wait time. With this information, you can plan when you arrive at the DWSD Customer Care Center. If something comes up on your end, you can delay your appointment or cancel via text message. Place yourself in line now.
Customer Care Web Portal
Coming this summer, DWSD's new web portal takes online bill pay to an entirely new level. Once you register your account on the new web portal, you will be able to make and schedule payments, see your water usage in real-time, and enter a payment plan arrangement. All from any mobile device, laptop or desktop computer.
DWSD understands that you lead a busy life or may have limitations in getting to a DWSD Customer Care Center. The department is working to provide you 24-7 access to your account and to make transactions remotely.
